New York Supreme Court landmark decision rules vaccine mandates illegal and employers must rehire workers

COVID vaccines mandates have been a contentious issue. A battleground of division, it split families and friends and caused people to lose their jobs. This week, the New York State Supreme Court in a landmark ruling, declared the vaccine mandates illegal and unconstitutional and the State had violated the rights of New Yorkers, acting arbitrarily and capriciously. It said being vaccinated does not prevent an individual from contracting or transmitting COVID, adding the mandates were about compliance. Now the court has reinstated all employees who were fired for not being vaccinated, ordering back-pay.
